Ekeney House

Setting/location: **** (a long way down a farm track)

Fires/firewood: not permitted

Toilets: * (I was too scared to use the toilet)

Showers: (didn’t try it out, but look a bit ropey)

Rules: **** (allocated pitches, no fires)

Other facilities:  ** (recycling, chemical waste disposal)

Flatness of pitches: ****

Group friendliness: ** (didn’t enquire about a group, but there are marked pitches)

Local amenities: * (didn’t investigate, but it’s a long way to anywhere down that farm track!)

Attractions: ** (access directly into Ekeney Glen a Jubilee plantation woodland)

Public Transport: * (I didn’t investigate bud routes, but even if there was one, it’s over half a mile down a farm track)

Comments: minimum pricing policy is for two people, which is annoying when you’re travelling alone. Campsite owner was very friendly and keeps peacocks and rhea birds.
